Terms and Conditions of Obe

Welcome to Obe, a service provided by Aldoc LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the Obe app ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.





1. Acceptance of Terms



By downloading, installing, or using Obe, you agree to:

  • Comply with these Terms.
  • Provide accurate information during registration.
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account.



If you do not agree, you must immediately discontinue use of the Service.





2. Changes to Terms



We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.





3. Eligibility



To use Obe, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent if under 18.
  • Be capable of entering into a legally binding contract.
  • By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.





4. Account Registration



You may need to create an account to access certain features of Obe. You agree to:

  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized access or use of your account.



We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.





5. Services Provided



Obe allows users to:

  • Upload and store receipts.
  • Split bills and expenses with others.
  • Track and manage shared expenses.



We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the bill-splitting calculations and are not responsible for any financial discrepancies or disputes between users.





6. User Conduct



You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful or unauthorized purposes.
  • Upload false or misleading information.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the functionality of the Service.
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without authorization.
  • We reserve the right to investigate and take legal action for any unauthorized use of the Service.





7. Fees and Payments



Certain features of Obe may require payment. You agree to:

  • Pay all fees associated with the Service.
  • Provide accurate payment information.
  • Acknowledge that payments are non-refundable, unless otherwise stated.



We reserve the right to change our fees at any time with prior notice.





8. Data Collection and Privacy



Our collection, use, and sharing of your personal information are governed by our Privacy Notice. By using Obe, you agree that we may collect and use your information as described in the Privacy Notice, including:

  • Storing and processing receipt images.
  • Sharing and, in some cases, selling personal data.

9. Intellectual Property



All intellectual property rights in the Obe app and Service are owned by Aldoc LLC. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the app or its content.
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the app.



Unauthorized use of our intellectual property may result in legal action.





10. Third-Party Services



The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services. Your interactions with third parties are governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.





11. Limitation of Liability



To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aldoc LLC is not liable for:

  • Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • Loss of data, revenue, or profits.
  • Errors or interruptions in the Service.



Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to discontinue its use.





12. Indemnification



You agree to indemnify and hold Aldoc LLC, its affiliates, and employees harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service.
  • Any dispute between you and other users.





13. Termination



We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including for violations of these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
  • We may delete your account and associated data, subject to applicable legal requirements.





14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution



These Terms are governed by the laws of Atlanta, GA, 30309, United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration in Atlanta, GA, 30309, United States, except where prohibited by law.
